Description:
Settlers Creek will consist of 66 townhomes and a small community
center. The units are organized in three different building types,
the downhill townhome, uphill townhome and stacked condominium,
with sizes ranging from 1,100 sq. ft. to 1,900 sq. ft. The community
center will contain a "living room", changing rooms,
mechanical and storage facilities, a swimming pool, and two hot
tubs. The three prototype designs respond to this challenging
mountain setting by digging themselves into the hillside or stepping
down the slope as necessary. Buildings are sited along a gently
looping road with the community center at its heart. Stone, rustic
siding, and shingles are mixed to create visual interest and create
timeless mountain architecture.
