Description:
The Rivercrest Neighborhood is located just a mile north of Hanover.
At Rivercrest, affordable rental units for Dartmouth College employees
and married graduate students are mixed with for-sale row homes,
duplexes, and single family homes.
The master plan creates a network of pocket parks, trails, and
green courts connecting different parts of the neighborhood to
its surroundings. Buildings have been designed so that they can
be built by a modular home manufacturer. The Rivercrest Neighborhood
is a candidate for LEED-ND.
The overall density is 7.2 units per acre. However, a significant
amount of land remains as open space. The average net density
on developable blocks (including some pocket parks) is 10 units
per acre.
